How to find the lost file by WPS Auto Backup

In case of emergencies like a power outage, WPS office gives you the ability to create backup files at any time. So you can recover or find back your files with ease. Let's take WPS Writer for example:

Recover the File from the Prompt

When you forget to save your document ,or the file quits unexpectedly. Take it easy, the simplest way is re-launch your WPS Writer, and a prompt will pop up and you can recover your file backups according to the reminder.

Find out the Lost Documents from Local File

In case that your program closes before you press Ctrl+S, you can find these recovered files and select which file you want to save. If there aren’t any prompts pop up, you can find these recovered files:

Step 1: Click Writer and select Backup Management tab on the drop-down list.

Step 2: The Backup Management panel will be shown on the right.

Step 3: Select the ones you want to open and save them.

If there is no files in the Backup Management panel, please click View Other Backups on the right bottom, then a backup folder will pop up. All your backups will be stored in this folder.

Note: when you clean your computer with some cleaning software, please remember to change the settings so that the cleaner will not delete your backup files.
