How to change or reset the password

1. Change or reset the password


You can change or reset the password of the account registered only through WPS Office. To change or reset the password, perform the following steps:

1. Open the WPS Office client, and click the icon in the upper-right corner to sign in.


2. Enter the account of which you want to change your password, and click Forgot.

3. Click Reset password. The system will send a verification email used to change or reset your password to the specified email address bound to the account.




Note:

If you do not receive a verification mail, check whether the email address that you entered is correct, or check whether this email is placed in the spam folder.


4. Find the email of Password Change Request, and click Change Password.


5. Enter a new password. After your password is changed, you can log in with the new password.



Notes:

1. We include but not limited to the following login methods:

In this topic, you can change or reset the password of the account registered only through WPS Office. If you log in through a third party, go to the third party to change or reset the password.

2. When logging in through a third party such as Google or Facebook, you may use the same email address as the one used to register an account through WPS Office. However, the user_id may vary based on your login method.

3. If you want to bind an email address to the third-party login account and log in with the email, refer to the Bind an email address or change the bound email address section.


2. Bind an email address or change the bound email address


To bind an email address or change the bound email address, perform the following steps:

1. Log in to the Account Management Center of WPS Office (https://account.wps.com/) with the account to which you want to bind an email address or change the email address that is bound.

2. Click Set now on the right side of the Bind the email to make login and use more secure.

3. Enter the email address that you want to bind. After you receive a verification code sent to the specified email address, enter the verification code. Then, click Confirm.


Notes:

The email address that you want to bind to a third-party account cannot be the one that has been used to register a WPS Office account. Otherwise, you will receive an error message prompt such as This mailbox has been bound to another account, please change one.


4. Set a login password for the bound email address.

5. After the setting is completed, you can log in with the bound email address. Regardless of whether you use the third-party account or the bound email address to log in, you can enjoy the same Premium benefits because the same account (the same user_id) is logged in.
