How to Insert a Watermark in Spreadsheets
As is known, it is easy to insert a watermark in Writer to indicate that the document is to be treated specially. How could we insert a watermark in WPS Spreadsheets? WPS Spreadsheets does not include a watermark button. But you can insert and remove a watermark for your worksheet with the following two methods.
Method One
Insert Text Watermark
Step 1. Open your worksheet. Go to Insert > WordArt. Select a WordArt style. Then input the text or content you want as the watermark.
Step 2. Right click WordArt and select Format Object in the drop-down list. Or click Settings under Text tool, select Format Object.
Step 3. There is a Formatting list on the right side of the Spreadsheets. Click EFFECTS > SHADOWS , set the color and transparency below Shadows. For example, select Blue color and set Transparency to 50%.
Step 4. Watermark is inserted. You can preview the effect on your worksheet or you can go to Print > Print Preview to see the effect.
Remove the watermark
You can delete the WordArt to remove. Select the WordArt and press Backspace in your keyboard.
Method Two
Insert Picture Watermark
You can insert an image file into a header or footer to mimic a visible watermark.
Step 1. Prepare a picture (.png) as a watermark.
Step 2. Open your worksheet. Go to Insert > Header and Footer.
Step 3. Select Custom Header in Dialog box. In the second pop-up window, set the header on Left, Center or Right. Then click Insert Picture icon.
Step 4. After insert the picture you have prepared. Then the click the Reset Picture button. In the pop-up window, select Washout in Color box under Picture tab. You can also set the Color, Brightness and Contrast.
Step 5. You can go to Print Preview to see the effect.
Remove the watermark
Go to Insert > Header and footer. Select None in the Header Box and then click OK.
