Guide to Using ID Number Collection Feature in Forms

Summary

The ID number template is used to quickly add ID number input questions. It belongs to the fill-in-the-blank question type in "Common Templates". The format limit defaults to ID numbers, and respondents can automatically fill it in using the "Recognize ID Photo" feature.

Steps

Add an ID Number Question

Entry
"Edit" tab → "Common Templates" → "ID Number" option

1. Click the Edit tab at the top.
2. Expand the Common Templates area in the left panel.
3. Click the ID Number option to add the ID number question to the file collection.

Set Format Limits

Entry
ID Number → "Fill-in-the-Blank Settings" → "Format Limit" drop-down list

1. Click the added ID number question.
2. Click the Format Limit drop-down list in the Fill-in-the-Blank Settings panel on the right.
3. The ID number template selects the ID Number format by default. You can also switch to No Limit, Digits, Phone Number, Bank Card Number, or Email.

Set Do Not Allow Duplicates

Entry
ID Number → "Fill-in-the-Blank Settings" → "Do Not Allow Duplicates" switch

1. Click the added ID number question.
2. Turn on the Do Not Allow Duplicates switch in the Fill-in-the-Blank Settings panel on the right.
3. Once enabled, ID numbers submitted by different respondents cannot be duplicated.

Set Blocked Content

Entry
ID Number → "Fill-in-the-Blank Settings" → "Blocked Content" option

1. Click the added ID number question.
2. Click Blocked Content (currently Not Set) in the Fill-in-the-Blank Settings panel on the right.
3. Turn on the Content Blocklist switch in the Blocked Content dialog box that appears.
4. ID numbers in the blocklist cannot be submitted, effectively blocking certain people from filling it out.
5. Add the ID numbers to be blocked in the input box, one per line (such as 420101199705063218).
6. Click OK to save the settings.
