Guide to Using the File Upload Feature for Voting Forms

The file upload question is used to collect files uploaded by voters. It supports setting file types, size limits, and the number of uploads, making it suitable for scenarios such as material collection and attachment submission.

Steps

Add File Upload

Feature Entry
Edit tab > Common Question Types > File Upload button

1. Click the Edit tab at the top.
2. Expand the Common Question Types area in the left panel.
3. Click the File Upload button to add file upload to the vote.
4. Respondents can drag and drop or paste files into the upload area, or click the Upload File button.
5. Current settings: Up to 1 file can be uploaded, and a single file must be within 10 MB.

Set File Type Limits

1. Click the added file upload question.
2. Turn on the Limit File Type switch in the File Settings panel on the right.
3. Once enabled, you can set the allowed file types for upload.

Set File Naming Format

1. Click the added file upload question.
2. In the File Settings panel on the right, click the File Naming Format drop-down list (currently Original File Name ×).
3. Select a naming format or click Add Custom Fixed Name to add a custom rule.

Create Categorized Folders

1. Click the added file upload question.
2. Turn on the Create Categorized Folders switch in the File Settings panel on the right.
3. Once enabled, folders will be automatically created according to the folder naming format, and the collected files will be categorized and summarized.

Set Single File Size Limit

1. Click the added file upload question.
2. In the File Settings panel on the right, click the Single File Size Limit drop-down list (currently 10M).
3. Select the allowed size limit: 10M, 30M, 50M, 100M, or 300M.

Set File Quantity Limit

1. Click the added file upload question.
2. In the File Settings panel on the right, click the File Quantity Limit drop-down list (currently 1).
3. Select the allowed number of files to upload: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, etc.

Question 1: How do I limit the uploaded file types?

• Solution: Click the file upload question, and configure Limit File Type in File Settings.

Question 2: How do I limit the file size and quantity?

• Solution: Click the file upload question, and configure File Size Limit and Max Upload Quantity in File Settings respectively.

Question 3: How are the uploaded files saved?

• Solution: Turn on the Save Uploaded Files switch, and the files uploaded by voters will be saved on the data statistics page for viewing.
