Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Prompt says unable to insert image / image does not display
- Solution:
- Check the image format: WPS supports common formats such as JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP. Uncommon formats (such as TIFF, WEBP) need to be converted first
- Check the image file name: Remove special characters and spaces from the file name
- Ensure the document is not protected/locked; unlock it before inserting
Q2: Pasted/copied image is blurry
- Solution:
- Try exporting the image and saving it as a local file first;
- Then import it via the "Insert" tab → "Local Picture" method
Q3: Pasting/copying image fails or displays blank
- **Solution:**1. Check whether the image was copied and pasted from a website, and verify that the website or the browser used has permission to copy images;
- Download the required image and import it via the "Insert" tab → "Local Image"
Issue 4: Image appears blurry after insertion
- Solution: Disable default compression: Click "File" → "Options" → "Edit" > Uncheck "Do not compress images in file"
Issue 5: Image pasted via shortcut is too large and difficult to adjust
- Solution: Right-click at the location where you want to paste the image → "Paste Special" → "Picture (PNG format)" / "Picture (JPG format)"
Notes
- Image format compatibility: JPG and PNG formats are recommended for best compatibility; formats such as WEBP and TIFF may require conversion
- File naming conventions: Avoid using special characters, spaces, and Chinese characters in image file names to prevent insertion failures
- Copyright compliance: Pay attention to copyright issues when using online images; licensed image libraries are recommended for commercial use
- Document size control: A large number of high-resolution images will significantly increase the document size; it is recommended to use the compression feature when appropriate
- Cross-platform display: The same image may appear differently on desktop and mobile devices; it is recommended to reserve a safe margin for important content
- Check before saving: It is recommended to save the document promptly after inserting images to avoid accidental loss
