Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: Data row correspondence is messed up after sorting?

  • Solution: Before sorting, make sure to check "Data has header row" to prevent the header from being treated as data and included in the sort. Also, ensure that you have selected a range containing the complete data, not just partial cells in a single column.

Question 2: Does sorting in collaborative mode affect other collaborators?

  • Solution: Yes, the sorting operation modifies the actual order of the data and syncs it to the cloud in real time. It is recommended to communicate with team members before sorting to avoid affecting others' editing progress. You can restore the previous order via the version history after sorting.

Question 3: How to quickly restore the data order before sorting?

  • Solution: Immediately press Ctrl+Z after sorting to undo the operation and restore the original order. If multiple operations have been performed, you can restore to the version before sorting via the document's "Collaboration Record" → "Version History".

Notes

  • Multi-condition sorting is executed sequentially from top to bottom by priority
  • Sorting ranges containing merged cells may produce errors; it is recommended to unmerge cells before sorting
  • Quick ascending/descending order can be applied from the "Home" tab
