Launch File Slimming

File (☰) icon → "Special Features" → "File Slimming"

  1. Click the File (☰) icon in the upper left corner
  2. Select "Special Features" from the menu
  3. Click "File Slimming" in the submenu
  4. Start File Slimming and display the current file size
  5. List optimized items: image compression, redundant data cleaning, style cleaning, etc.
  6. Click "Slimming Settings" to set "Allow automatic slimming when the file meets the conditions upon opening"

Q1: Will File Slimming affect the spreadsheet data?

  • Solution: File Slimming only cleans redundant data and caches, and does not affect the actual spreadsheet content. The optimized file content is completely consistent with that before slimming; only invalid data is cleaned.

Q2: How long does File Slimming take?

  • Solution: The slimming time depends on the file size. Small files usually complete within a few seconds, while large, complex files may take several minutes. The slimming process does not affect other collaborators' normal use of the spreadsheet.

Q3: Is File Slimming effective for cloud files in collaboration mode?

  • Solution: Yes, it is effective. File Slimming will synchronously optimize the file size stored in the cloud. After optimization, the file opening speed will be improved for all collaborators.
